Salers topped the remainder of Harrison and Hetherington's multi-breed timed online sales, which included Herefords and Lincoln Reds, producing the top two bull sales at £4000 and £3000 and the lead female.

Dearest was Terence Pye's two-year-old bull, Rigel Norton, from Leven Fields, Yarm, purchased by Messrs Roper and Sons, Kirkbride, Wigton, Cumbria. He is by the French sire, Lascaux.

Mr Pye also sold the lead priced female, Rigel Fantasia, a two-year-old calved heifer again by Lascaux, which sold with April-born heifer calf at foot for £2800 to Messrs Ralston, Morebattle, Kelso.

The next lot in Rednock Nero Blk, a similarly aged bull by Drumaglea Kes, from Gill and Malcolm Pye, Rednock, Port of Menteith, made £3000 selling to Ardtalla Estates, Islay.
