Elrick Paragon, a Charolais bull bred by Mike and Lisa Massie, Mains of Elrick, Ellon, has been sold in a private deal for £15,000 to Major David Walter’s Balthayock herd, Perth, managed by Tracey and Davie Nicol.

Backed by some of the best bloodlines in the business, Paragon is by the French import, Maerdy Gouvernor, a bull that bred the 25,000gns Elrick Outlaw and the 15,000gns Elrick Oxygen sold at Stirling in February, for the Massies and the 15,000gns Balmyle Nucleus for Bill Bruce, in 2018. His dam, Elrick Jossie, is by the former Stirling champion, Thrunton Fearless, which cost 16,000gns.
