Sale leader from Mike and Melanie Alford's Limousin production sale, sold at Carlisle, was the 13-month-old heifer, Foxhillfarm Primadonna, which made 19,000gns.
Backed by some of the best genetics in the business, she is the result of a flush from the former inter-breed champion at the Royal Highland Show, Foxhillfarm Mammamia, and sired by Ampertaine Gigolo.
The buyer was Anthony Renton, for his Meadowrig herd, from Duns, Berwickshire.
