Blue Texels met a solid trade across the board at Worcester, where gimmers sold to 2800gns and shearling rams to 2100gns.
Sale leader at 2800gns was the best from M and A Jones’ Glan-Y-Mor flock, Talsarnau, Gwynedd. By the imported tup, Turbo Blue Appledoom, she’s out of Tyisaf Brenda and sold to MJ and E L Davies, Caerws, Powys.
Aberdeenshire breeders, Stuart and Wendy Hunter, Insch, bought the second top priced gimmer at 1700gns. This was a Sam’s bred ewe from Andrew and Sam Froggatt, Abbots Bromley, Staffs. She is by a Hackney sire and bred from Nantyderri Beatriz.
Also heading up to Aberdeenshire, this time with Deborah Atkinson, Insch, at 2000gns, was the second top priced ram, again from Matthew Jones. This Glan-Y-Mor ram is bred from the Whatmore Siren daughter, Hackney Yoko and sired by a Turbo Blue tup.
Topping the males at 2100gns was a shearling from Jan Rodenburg's Turbo Blue flock from Llandysul, Ceredigion. This Dragon Buster son was bought by Paul Tippetts, Shifnal.
