Retail giant Asda, continues to let Scottish and indeed British farmers down, by having the least amount of Scottish and British red meat on its shelves.
Figures for The Scottish Farmer's Retail Radar for the week commencing September 7, show that just 24% of its labelled beef was from North of the Border and 9% was imported from Ireland. There was no Scotch lamb in its stores and a massive 64% of the lamb range had been imported from New Zealand and Australia.
The Scottish Farmer did contact Asda but no-one was available for comment.
