With no pre-sale shows for the forth coming bull sales at United Auctions, Stirling and Carlisle, eight Scottish Limousin herds within a 35-mile radius are staging a viewing day for potential customers prior to the sales.

The eight herds, with help from Catherine MacGregor Photography, have come together to promote the events and on Sunday, October 11, will be available for viewing from 10am, with 45 top quality bulls able to be viewed.

However, Covid 19 regulations must be adhered to be all and breeders should be contacted prior to visiting.

Herds open for a visit:

Springsett – contact Dougie McBeath and SJ Jessop 0778 2222939 – who have the one bull, Springsett President, bred from the top show cow, Poolehall Iris and sired by Gunnerfleet Lion.

Lodge – contact Ian Callion 07836 599066 – has the one bull Lodge Pindigo, a son of Ampertaine Foreman, bred from Lodge Indigo.

Grahams – contact Jennifer Hyslop 07917 167515 – has two sons bred from Cousine, with Grahams Premier being a son of Ampertaine Gigolo and Grahams Premium by Loosebeare Fantastic.

Harveys – contact Sophie Harvey 07984 452306 – will have three bulls of which two are heifer’s calves by Lodge Hamlet, with the third being an Bailea Amazon bred from a Dolcorsllwyn Fabio daughter.

Burnbank – contact Lynda Graham 07713 342515 – has five bulls with Burnbank Pacorabanne, a heifer's calf by Maraiscote Lettissier; Burnbank Performer, Burnbank Northernlad, Burnbank Pj, by Wilodge LJ. All from top female lines.

Spittalton – contact Andrew Burnett 07770 844462 – Eight bulls entered are progeny of Spittalton’s best female lines and sired by Ampertaine Gigolo, Dylan's Irn Bru, Wilodge LG, Gerrygulinane Glen and Burnbank Judge.

Maraiscote – contact Ian Nimmo 07940 591792 – Some 11 bulls are entered between the two sales and all are by Bassingfield Machoman, a bull whose first seven sons sold at auction averaged just under £9000 with a top of £15,000 for Maraiscote Phil.

Ronick – contact Steph Dick 07874 013414 – Eleven bulls entered between the two sales to include Ronick Poseidon, a Mereside Lorenzo son. Others are by Rathconville Eugene, Wilodge Granville, and Ampertaine Jamboree. Bulls are out of some of the top cow families.
