A tup lamb from the Graham family's Hallrigg flock from Plumpton, Penrith, topped the second Solway and Tyne Texel Club sale at Carlisle, selling for 3600gns.

Hallrigg Daytona, a son of Thornbury Class Act, out of a ewe by a Drumgooland sire, was knocked down to Messrs Pickworth, Hexham.

Selling in a three-way split at 2600gns to AL Mounsey, Wardhall Guards, Arkleby, Aspatria; GH and GG Wilkinson, Arkleby and Messrs Mawson, Bootle Station, Millom was Garngour Diego, from Alan Clark, North Garngour, Lesmahagow. This late April-born lamb by Procters Chumba Wumba is out of the 2019 reserve champion at the Great Yorkshire Show, by Knock Yardsman.

More than financing that third-share purchase, Harry and George Wilkinson, Arkleby, sold their best at 2000gns to Fife producer, Willie Shaw, West Lethans, Saline. This was Arkle Dark Secret, a Far Hey Cannonball son.

Later, Steven Renwick received the same money for Craig Douglas Davinci, from Glenrath, Peebles. He is by Sportsmans Cannon Ball and was knocked down to Messrs Oliver, Tregarth, Bangor.

Kerrin Forsyth's Kirrin flock from Baltier, Whithorn, topped the gimmers when a Tullagh Bonzo-sired entry sold to Nick Woodmass, Brunstock, Carlisle. She is bred from a home-bred ewe by Procters Vagabond.

Just behind, on 2000gns, Messrs Jones and Roberts, St Clears, Carmarthen, bought the first lot in the catalogue from I Jaeban's Forth House flock from Forth House, Isel, Cockermouth. She is by Teiglum Younggun and out of a ewe by Milnbank Yellowstone.
