Two rams sold for the joint top price of 1600gns, while females peaked at £142 per head at an Easy Care sheep sale at Carlisle.
First to hit 1600gns was a shearling ram from WE Cook, Tudor Farm, Aylesbury, Bucks, purchased by Messrs Clarke, Alyth, Blairgowrie.
Shearling rams from A Brewster, Easter Denoon, Eassie, Forfar, proved popular selling the second 1600gns entry to Messrs Nelson, Parton, Castle Douglas, with others making 1400gns and 1200gns to Burnside Farms, Forfar and Messrs Clarke, Alyth again, respectively.
Another from Easter Denoon made 1000gns to Messrs Howard, Holme, Huddersfield.
The top priced females at £142 and £138, were both consigned by WE Cook, Tudor Farm and sold to Messrs Anderson, Lochgilphead and Messrs Harrison, Marwood, Barnard Castle, respectively.
Averages: 36 rams, £520.33; 226 females, £94.94.
