Wreaywood Armani Kerry Red made her mark at the November Borderway Monthly Dairy Day, when prices peaked at £2400.
The sale leader, a Holstein heifer from the Wilson family, Woodside, is producing 49kg and is fresh in her second calving. Armani is by Mr Apples Armani and out of Wreaywood Kanu Kerry. She headed home with Baltier Farming Company, Whithorn.
Next in the trade stakes, at £2300, was a British Friesian cow from Messrs Williamson, Howes, Appleby. This second lactation cow was purchased by Messrs Beard, Roweltown.
The Pirie family, from Backhill, Aberdeen, dispersed their Holstein herd which attained £1900 for a heifer by Gandhi and producing 38kg.
On the flip side, Jonny Wilson, of Little Float, Stranraer, dispersed his herd of Irish Friesian and Jersey cross-bred cows which peaked at £2000 for a second calving cow, with the herd cashing in at £1527.
