A top price of 46,000gns was paid for a Texel gimmer at the 'Select Seven' sale held at Lawrie and Symington, Lanark, from Jeff Aiken, Procters, Wennington.

Sale leader, came in the form of a Sportsmans Batman daughter, out of a Strathbogie Ya Belter sired-ewe. This topper is in lamb carrying twins to the record breaking 350,000gns Sportsmans Double Diamond.

Buying back some of his own genetics was Charlie Boden of the Sportsmans flock along with Neil and Stuart Barclay for their Harestone flock, Aberdeenshire.

The Boden family didn't stop there and went on to purchase an Auldhouseburn gimmer also in lamb to Double Diamond for 32,000gns from Alan Blackwood, Muirkirk.

She is by Rhaeadr Best of the Best and out of a ewe by Strathbogie Untouchable.
