Mortons Eccentric secured the lead price of 1500gns at the annual sale of MV accredited pedigree females, staged at Dingwall and Highland Marts.
Sale leader came in the form of a Beltex in-lamb gimmer from Andrew Morton of Lochend, Denny. This Hillview Charlie daughter is out of Mortons Alexandra, and adding to her future potential she sold in lamb to the 10,000gns Gyffin Dexter.
The same home produced the next best price at 1400gns this time for another by the same sire. Mortons Esmarelda is out of Mortons Cranberry, and is in lamb to Matts Dare Devil.
Hitting 1300gns was another in-lamb Beltex gimmer this time from CG Mair and Partners, Muirfield, Turriff. Aviemore Elate is a daughter of Airyolland Avicii, out of a Corstane Whistler sired-ewe. She sold in lamb carrying twins to the 14,000gns Ryder Enrique.
Two Texel in-lamb gimmers then realised 1000gns both coming from D Webster, Lower Reiss, Reiss, Wick.
First in the ring, a Haddo Bright Spark daughter, out of a Lower Reiss Stonker sired-ewe, she sold in lamb due to have twins to Alderview Dictator.
On the same money was another by the same sire, whilst the dam was by Knock Vantastic, and is served to Plasucha Donny Brasco, carrying one lamb.
