Warnelview Network led the way at the final Border and Lakeland Club sale of 2020 staged at Harrison and Hetherington, where trade topped at 3500gns, with no fewer than 72 animals selling for or more that £2000.

The top price was achieved for a young bull from KJ and CS Wilson, Wood Farm, Thursby. He is a JK Eder-I Control son and out of Warnelview Final Cut Nita EX97. Taking this boy home was Messrs Agnew, Stranraer, Wigtownshire.

Hitting 2900gns was Stowbeck Awesome Flo from Skirwith Hall Farms, Skirwith, Penrith. Purchasing a Luck-E Absolute Awesome-red daughter, out of Stowbeck Sve Flo was Messrs Innes and Sons, Nairn.

The same buyer also went to 2800gns for the best from T Graham and Sons, Angus Well, Kirklinton. The heifer, Heathersgill Mogul Eileen, is by Mountfield SSI DCY Mogul, and out of Heathersgill Goldfish Eileen.

Heathersgill Kingboy Corona, was chapped down at 2650gns to Messrs Hunter and Son, Penrith. This cow has the backing of Morningview MCC Kingboy and out of Heathersgill Mogul Corona.

On the same money was Belavalley Megawatt Anna which again sold to Messrs Innes and Sons, Nairn. This freshly calved cow from Messrs Hastwell, The Buildings, Kaber, is a daughter of Lindenright Megawatt and out of Belahvalley Bossman Anna.

Dalserf Seaver Destiny lived up to her name for G Bailey, Over Dalserf, Ashgill, when she left the ring at a 2600gns bid from Messrs Innes and Sons, Nairn. She is by R-E-W Seaver and out of Dalserf Baxter Destiny.

Another purchase of Messrs Innes and Sons, Nairn, was the champion, the All.Nure Secretariat daughter, Balcurvie Secretariat Avril from Balcurvie Holsteins, Bankhead of Balcurvie, Widnygate.

This two-year-old realised 2600gns after being tapped out as champion at the pre-sale show by judge, Stephen Hunter from Berrier Farm, Penrith.

Also hitting 2600gns was Ploughlands Fortune Joan from CJ and VM Gillespie, High Ploughlands, Kirkbampton. This heifer is sired by Progenesis Fortune, out of Ploughlands Bankroll Joan and found a new home with Messrs Brewster, Stirling.

The last to make the 2600gns price tag was the first yearling bull in the ring, Annandale Instagram from WR Armour, The Milton, Moffat, Dumfriesshire. Messrs Davidson, Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, were the final bidder for this Seagull-Bay Supersire son, out of Annandale Hambone Idella.
