A Scottish Aberdeen-Angus bull owned by Highland Wagyu and the McLaren family, Blackford, proved the star attraction at the Cudlobe Angus Real Bulls for Real Cowboys Sale, in Canada, selling for the top price of $22,000.
Sale leader, HW Netherton Claymore 3H was knocked down to Stevenson Angus in Montana – one of America’s oldest and leading pedigree herds.
Claymore, a January-born bull calf and the highest marbled entry in the sale is by EXAR Monumental which sold for $80,000, whilst the dam, is a daughter of Cudlobe Blacklass 103B purchased in 2015 by Netherton and HW for $17,000.
The sale met a strong trade throughout with 143 bulls cashing in at $6450.
