Prices peaked at 2700gns and achieved a 100% clearance at United Auctions’ Huntly Hotties sale of 86 pedigree in-lamb females.
Sale leader was a one-crop Blue Texel ewe from the part reduction of Stuart and Neil Barclay’s Harestone flock, from Insch, Aberdeenshire, which sold carrying a single lamb to Stasha Moyse, Woolhillock, Skene. Harestone sold 11 to average £1445.85.
A gimmer from Zoey Rennie, Newmill, Moray, carrying a single lamb led the Beltex at 2200gns, selling to Jimmy Little, The Guard, Ireby, Carlisle.
Texels also peaked at 2200gns for a gimmer carrying twins from George Howie, West Knock, Stuartfield, purchased by Messrs Davies, Llwynyrynn, Wales.
Top priced Bluefaced Leicester, at £1000, was a gimmer from Carolyn Milne, Kennieshillock, Lhanbryde, which sold to J and B Mitchell, Badentoul, Portsoy, scanned for a pair.
