A new record average just shy of £5000 was achieved at a Simmental Society sale at Worcester where a top price of 7000gns was paid for Grangewood Keegan.
Sale leader was AS and YA Leedham’s December 2019-born bull from Rowan, Lockton, North Yorkshire. He is by Grangewood Glenlivet, out of Grangewood Tollie’s Hope and sold to John Wainwright, who runs the Harrop herd near Adlington, Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Females sold to 3850gns for the reserve overall, Midhope Kerry from WJ Hollingsworth, Midhope Hall, Sheffield. This two-year-old maiden is a daughter of Rockytop Hurricane and sold scanned in calf to Denizes Kingston, to G Palk, Stantor Barton, Paignton, Devon.
