Wreaywood Rager Patsy, a second lactation Holstein from Messrs Wilson of Woodside, Wreay, secured the lead price of £2250 at the Borderway Monthly Dairy Day sale, at Carlisle,

A Ri-Val-Re Rager-Red daughter, out of Wreaywood Roseman Patsy, she headed home with Messrs Dixon, Wigton. Wreaywood Holsteins sold 16 cows and heifers to average £1908.

Topping the heifer trade at £2180 was Cambus Buffalo Roxy from John Lyle, Nether Pratis, Leven, who sold 17 to cash in at £1741. She is by View-Home Buffalo, out of Denmire Deductive Roxy, and was knocked down to Messrs Forrest and Son, Lockerbie.

Cambus Rolex Dulcie from the same home then made £2020 selling to Messrs Lloyd, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. A daughter of Pacific Rlex, she is bred from Cambus Pendulum Dulcie.

The Belahvalley herd of Messrs Hastwell, The Buildings, Kirkby Stephen, produced the next three top sellers at £2100 and £2050 twice.

Dearest was Belahvalley Stone Rosa, a Seagull-Bay Stone daughter, out of Belahvalley Buckie Rosa, purchased by Messrs Forrest, Annan,

The same buyer also went to £2050 for Belahvalley Silver Belle, a Seagull-Bay Silver daughter, out of Belahvalley Bossman Belle.

Also selling for £2050 to Messrs Fisher, Kirkcudbright, was Belahvalley Hartley Judy, by De-Su Hartley.

Another heading home with Messrs Forrest, Annan, was Rattrig Altafirebird Annie, a fresh heifer from JG Shanks and Son, Standhill, Hawick. She is by Peak Altafirebird.

A smaller entry of Ayrshire cattle was topped at £1900 for Swaites Lois 7 from John Adamson, Swaites, Pettinain, Lanark. This January 2019-born heifer is by Swaites Double 07, out of the VG85 Swaites Lois 6 and sold to Messrs Astley from Llansanffraid, Powys.
