Prestige Peter came out on top to attract the lead price of 5500gns at a pedigree Charolais sale at Swatragh Livestock Market for Co Tyrone breeder, A Armstrong, Dromore.
His bull, a 17-month-old son of Cavelands Fenian, is bred from the Balmyle Vagabond daughter, Bostonia Lizzie. He sold to D McMullan, buying for his herd in based in Maghera, Co Londonderry.
Mr Armstrong also sold the next three highest priced bulls. Next best at 5300gns was the 22-month-old Tanhill Porker, a Whitecliffe James son out of Thrunton Marion. He sold to S Taylor, Ligoneil, Belfast.
Later, Tanhill Pacman, by Woodpark Elgin, made 4200gns selling to K Topping, Larne, Co Antrim.
Averages: 14 bulls, £3540.
