Renewed confidence in farming saw tractor registrations soar by almost 75% last month, compared to May 2020.
In all, 1103 tractor units (>50hp) were sold in May 2021, with the total to date this year of 5371, up 21.2% compared to January to May period last year.
According to a report from the Agricultural Engineers Association, the increase in registrations comes as little surprise given the huge disruption faced by the market last year as a result of Covid-19.
Total sales for the first five months of 2021, are also 7% above the average of the previous five years (2015-19).
