Ewe lambs sold to £530 at a sale of Swaledale females at Hawes where the entry of 590 gimmers and 2981 ewe lambs averaged £135.40 and £85.28 respectively.
Geoff and Carole Marwood, Hill Top, Barningham, sold the lead priced pen at £530 to S and D Robinson, Foredale, with gimmers selling to £420 from G Calvert and Sons, Hoggarths, who also sold the first prize pen at £280.
