A hattrick of Brazilian Texel records were smashed at the recent sale hosted by Sergio Takahashi of the Gran Reserva flock, firstly was a ram which sold for a new breed record of $176,000 (£23,400).
The ram, Gran Reserva, is backed by UK genetics being sired by Cambwell Belter, and out of an embryo-bred dam by Teiglum Vision.
Another influenced by UK genetics was believed to have set a new female record for the breed in Brazil, this one coming in the form of the gimmer, Gran Reserva. She is sired by Claybury Regatta and out of a Cambwell Trademark daughter.
The hattrick was made with a record breaking Brazilian average of more than £3000.
