All classes met a firm trade at Hope's Auctioneers' sale of 36 stirks and calves, with trade peaking at £600 for a British Blue steer stirk from Messrs Hughes, Seaville.

Heifer stirks attained £530 for a pair of British Blues from Messrs Wright, Tarnrigg Ltd, whilst bull stirks realised £430 for a Limousin from Dundraw.

A seasonal entry of store lambs sold to a top of £155 for Beltex from WC and E Bell, Low Houses.
