On the male front, a top price of £1500 was paid for a Limousin cross steer from Messrs Hoggarth, Far Kiln Bank.

Overall bullocks and heifers cashed in at £1058.30 (+£60.65 on the year) and £909.22 (-£27.75) respectively.

Among the pre-sale show, judge, Ben Park, Holmrook, found his champion in at continental steer from NA and J Temple, Blackhall, Ulpha, whilst a similar type secured the reserve honours for A Hartley Ltd, Turner Hall, Seathwaite, Broughton In Furness.
