Gordon and Jane Henderson's dispersal of Fleckvieh and Holstein cows and followers from East Bowhill Farm, Annan, achieved an overall average of £2071, backed up by top prices of 2900gns paid twice.
The sale, staged at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, first saw a young February-calved Fleckvieh heifer, make that money when selling to Messrs Dent and Sons, Darlington, Co Durham. She sold giving 41kg per day and four weeks in calf to Leyla Stier.

The Holstein cow, Gerrard Overtime Ruby, also reached 2900gns when the hammer fell to the Robinson family, Hexham. Sired by Pine-Tree Overtime, she is out of the VG87 classified, Gerrard Brady Ruby 53, and sold eight months in calf to Milan.
Messrs Somerville, Carrutherstown, Dumfriesshire, bought two Holsteins at 2800gns – the 2019-born cow, Flicka 6, a Queenscairn Funny daughter and Espland Pepper Angela, by Delaberge Pepper.
Another Fleckvieh in-calf heifer, reached 2700gns when finding a new home with Messrs Taylor, Thursby, Carlisle. Sired by Ion she is five weeks in calf to Leyla Stie.
In-calf Holstein heifers were topped at 2050gns for a youngster due in November to Merten. She is sired by Ion and was bought by Mr Hamilton from Northern Ireland.
