Kilmarnock-based Charolais breeder, Wallace Brown of the Barrance herd, has purchased the 15-month-old bull, Moelfre Union, privately for £25,000.
The bull, bred by Kevin and Sioned Thomas of the Moelfre herd from Llechwydd Capel Iwan, was reserve breed champion and junior inter-breed male champion at the Royal Welsh Show, last month.
Sired by the 16,000gns Balthayock Rambo, this April-2023 born bull is out of Moelfre Ralarwdins, a Thrunton Nugget daughter.
New owner Wallace Brown said, “I am delighted with my purchase which has followed a very successful 2024 show season.”
