A yearling heifer from Basil and Adam Lawson's Lismulligan herd from North Cassingray, Fife, proved the star attraction at Harrison and Hetherington's first British Friesian Day at Carlisle, selling for the top price of 4300gns.

Lismulligan Priscilla 63, an ET bred from top show cow, Lismulligan Priscilla 41 BFE94-7E SP LP70, a former grand champion at the UK Dairy Expo in 2014 and 2015, is a grand-daughter of the BFE93-6E LP80 Lismulligan Priscilla 35. Priscilla 63 is by Lakemead Jingle and was knocked down to High Hedley Hope Farm, Bishop Auckland, Co Durham.

Richard Bell's Nerewater herd from Wigton sold to 4000gns for the fifth calver, Nerewater Janice 26. She is by Nerewater Rio Misson, out of a previous BFV87-classified cow boasts an Ex96 grand-dam, and sold to Messrs Allen, Convoy, Co Donegal.

Another from Mr Bell, made 3000gns selling to Messrs Wilson, Egremount, Carlisle. This was Nerewater Iris 49, a fresh second calver by Nerewater Jackpot and bred from an Excellent dam followed by two Ex93 dams all with big production. She was purchased by Mr Wilson from near Egremount.

The same buyer also went to 2800gns for Ian Brocket's Winnoch Espie 118, a fresh heifer by Beaufort Kabana, from Park of Barnaigh, Kilbarchan, Johnstone. Her dam, Winnoch Espie 95 is milking in her fifth.

Mr Brocket also took 2800gns for Winnoch Penguin 485 and Aintree Penrod daughter fresh in her first. TMessrs Beard, Roweltown, Carlisle, forked out the cash for this

Inch Genetics, Northern Ireland, sold to 3900gns for Inch GTW Daphne 4, a sister to the proven sire, Inch Dungannon, at Genus ABS. Messrs Dunn, Blackrock, Cornwall, forked out the cash for this entry by Lakemead Pinnacle and bred from an Ex-classified femalee that is the the dam of six proven sons either with Genus or Cogent.
