A POORER offering of 485 store cattle sold dearer at Harrison and Hetherington's Borderway Mart, last week, where a top price of £1290 was paid twice for a British Blue steer from Messrs Lloyd, Fishergill, Wigton and a Limousin cross from Messrs Edmondson, Brecon Hill, Carlisle.

Black and white steers sold to £950 for a pen of three from Messrs Harringon, Wellington, Wigton.

On the same day, a large show of 249 weaned cattle saw trade slightly less on the week, with a top price of £1030 achieved for a Limousin bull from Messrs Oliver, Cawfields.
