A pen of 50.5kg hoggs from W and ME Paisley and Sons, Micklethwaite, Wigton, secured the overall championship at a show and sale of prime Cheviots at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, on Monday.
Judge Michael Bowe, found his champion winners in a pen of hill Cheviots that later sold for 168.3p per kg or £85 per head.
Micklethwaite also picked up a third prize ticket with a pen of lambs that weighed in at 46kg. They sold for £80 or 173.9p per kg.
Reserve was the second prize pen from G Galloway, Kirkhaugh, Kirkcowan, Newton Stewart, which scaled 57kg and later sold for the top price per head of £87 or 152.6p per kg
