Bullocks (705) averaged 225.49p and sold to 281.60p per kg for a 277kg Aberdeen-Angus cross from Dyke, and to £1330 for a 616kg Aberdeen-Angus cross from High Unthank.

The 59 dairy bullocks averaged 155.26p and sold to 194.40p per kg for a 432kg bullock from Caddell, and to £925 for a 511kg Montbeliarde cross from Meikle Camoquhill.

Some 571 heifers averaged 212.66p, selling to 256.10p per kg for a 289kg Charolais cross from Dyke, and to £1280 for a 620kg Charolais cross from Balegreggan.

Young bulls (45) averaged 212.14p and sold to 231.10p per kg for a Limousin cross from Burnhouse, and to £1040 for the same.

The complete dispersal of the Blair herd of 85 Beef Shorthorn cattle and Belted Galloway cattle saw a top call of £5700 for Blelack Fancygirl. This in calf daughter of Alta Cerdar Perfect Storm sold to JH Wilson, Runley Mill, Settle, North Yorkshire.

Following on was Blair Foxy Lady, an in-calf daughter of Burnside Caveman out of Annanwater Zanna, which sold at £2700 to L Townsend, Coxhill, Moffat.

Next to make £2000 was Blelack Melodious an in-calf Blelack Secret Service daughter selling to JP Ramsay, Millerston, Mauchline.

Making the same price and going on to the same buyer was the Meonhill Highland Centurian daughter Blelack Helga who also sold in calf.

Taking the championship was a black Limousin cross heifer from Crookston Farms, which sold for £1140. Top price per kg was 255.4p for a pen of Charolais cross heifers from Messrs Hepburn, Northhouse.

Heifers averaged 207p, with a top of 242p for the reserve champion, and to £1120 for a Limousin from J Geyer, Blairhall, Culross.

Black and whites averaged 131p, selling to 160p from DT Marshall, West Kirkland, Newton Stewart, and to £700 twice from W Baxter, Gryfeside, Kilmacolm.

Also forward were 400 Store Hoggets & Breeding Sheep. Top price of the day went G S Adam, Hill of Arnmore for a Texel X Grit Ewe at £105.
