The Logie Durno flock export sale once again met a roaring demand for the Ingram family – William and Carole Ingram, sons Gregor and Bruce, and daughter Amy – of Logie Durno, Pitcaple, Inverurie, who teamed up with Harrison and Hetherington to produce an online sale of Charollais females.
The sale leader at £3800 was a December-born ewe lamb, from a line of real female breeders who have produced numerous first prize winners at Royal Highland and Welsh shows. Backed by home-bred genetics she is a daughter of Logie Durno Allstar and bred from a home-bred ewe. She stayed in Scotland with Messrs He Derson, Stirlingshire.
This gimmer realised £3600
Top priced gimmer at £3600 now travels over to Northern Ireland with Messrs Powell, County Armagh. The dam has bred sons to 10,000gns and a lot of good females for the flock, being sired by Foxhill Walkabout. She has scanned twins to Foxhill Va Va Voom.
Not far behind and achieving £3400 was another ewe lamb this one is sired by Wernfawr Ace and was knocked down to Messrs Douglas, Co Monaghan, Ireland.
Another the same way bred made £3300 when selling to Messrs Powell, County Armagh, Northern Ireland.
A ewe from the heart of the flush team – having given gave 13 eggs this year – sold for £3100 to Messrs Whyte, Co Waterford, Ireland. A daughter of Logie Durno Umpire which was inter-breed ram lamb champion at the Royal Welsh in 2019, and the home-bred dam also breeding well. Adding to her future potential this ewe is due a single lamb to Iskeymeadow.

A Foxhill Walkabout daughter, out of a home-bred ewe then made £2200 when the hammer fell to Messrs Thompson, Co Donegal, Ireland. This gimmer has scanned a pair.
Another heading across to Ireland this time with Messrs Hume, Co Cork, made £2200, this ewe lamb is another to be sired by Allstar.
On the same price tag was another ewe lamb, this one a Foxhill Va Va Voom daughter, and found a new home with Messrs Powell, County Armagh, Northern Ireland.
