A top call of 4200gns was paid for a Charollais ewe lamb at the final society sale of the year at Dungannon Farmers Mart for the female export sale of in-lamb gimmers and ewe lambs.

The sale leader came from Graham Foster, Springhill, having sold to Ben and Amelia Watts of the Willow flock, Devon. By Ballynoe House Playboy she is out of a home-bred ewe by Logie Durno Untouchable.

The same buyers went to 1800gns, for another ewe lamb from the Springhill pen, this one is by the home-bred Aston Martin and out of a Lisfuncheon ewe.

Paul Brothy, Kellistown, Co Carlow, gave 1450gns for another ewe lamb from the same home. This one is the result of the home-bred O’Driscoll sire onto a home-bred ewe that goes back to Boyo flock.

Scottish breeder, Ben Radley, Loaningfoot, Dumfries went to 2100gns for a gimmer from Kenny, Sheila, and Geoffrey Malcomson, Ringclare. A Elmwick Up Front daughter she is scanned in lamb to Hollylodge Bulls Eye.

The next best at 1500gns was an Iskeymeadow ewe lamb from R Powell. Sired by a home-bred Arbryn Tonto son, she is out of a Logie Durno ewe and was knocked down to Sam Rankin, Castlederg, Co Tyrone.

Another on the same money was a Hillside in-lamb gimmer from Alistair Moore. Sired by Padrig Upperclass and out of a home-bred Kirkhouse Remo daughter, she sold scanned in-lamb to Millhaven Attitude. Taking this one home to Ballymoney, Co Antrim, was James Reid.

The best from Mrs. D Mawhinney was a Rockvilla in-lamb gimmer, which also made 1500gns the hammer fell to Wesley Cousins, Omagh, Co Tyrone. Due in December to a Tullyear tup she is sired by Artnagullion Trojan.
