Some 1500 Mule gimmers went under the hammer at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, to average £222.61 – up £47.38 on the year.
Top price was £265 paid for the reserve champion pen from Messrs Lawson, Hundith, who went on to sell 115 to average £244.
The champion pen from the Harrison family, Sceugh, made £260.
