Aberdeenshire breeder, Jimmy Douglas’ Clola flock from Woodhead of Cairness, Fraserburgh, produced the lead priced Border Leicester, selling a shearling ram for £5000 to Duncan Whyte, Newton Mearns, Glasgow.
The tup, which was bred by Sandy Haggart, Muirmouth, is sired by Knockglass Bright Eye and out of a Muirmouth ewe that goes back to Drennan’s Storm.

The pre-sale champion from David and Ian Walker, Alticane, Pinwherry, Girvan, made £2500 selling to JD Thomson, Hawick. He is a son of Knockglass Triple Crown and out of an Intock Boris sired-dam.
Jack Lamb, Boreland, Ingleston, produced the runner up which later made £2200.
Sired by West Forth William Wallace and out of a home-bred ewe, he was knocked down to Neil Hamilton, Earlside, Hawick.
