IRVINE jockey Danny Tudhope has been in unbeatable form over the last week, riding 11 winners in five days.

His victory trail began on May 3 when he completed a double at Redcar’s evening fixture.

He rode Pretty Baby to win the fillies novice stakes, before adding the one-mile handicap on Completion.

Tudhope landed another double the following day.

He rode favourite Royal Brave to head the five-furlong handicap at Musselburgh on May 4, and then won the one-mile handicap on Trading Point.

Tudhope continued in unbeatable the following day, when he completed an across-the-card treble.

After partnering Ingleby Hollow to head the 1m 6f handicap at Wetherby, he later completed a double at Doncaster, riding Watchable to a 9-1 win in the six-furlong handicap and Salateen to win the seven-furlong handicap.

He completed yet another double on May 6.

He rode Amazing Grace to head the five-furlong handicap at Hamilton and then partnered Valentino Dancer to win the maiden stakes.

There was a further double at Beverley on May 7, where Tudhope landed the five-furlong stakes on Rockin Roy and the seven-and-a-half furlong handicap on 6-1 chance Nature Boy.

Fellow Ayrshire jockey David Allan has also been in great form.

He also had a winner at Musselburgh on May 4, riding Tribal Warrior to a 4-1 victory in the seven-furlong handicap.

Allan had begun the month of May with a double at Nottingham.

He rode MC Muldoon to a 10-1 victory in the novice stakes, before adding a 7-1 win aboard Hyanna in the fillies handicap.

He also had a winner at Hamilton on May 6, riding Regal Mirage to win the 1m 3f handicap.

Another Flat jockey enjoying a purple patch is Jason Hart from Hawick.

He completed a double at Musselburgh’s evening fixture on May 3.

The former champion conditional rode Poetic Steps to an 11-1 win in the 1m 4f handicap, before posting a further success aboard favourite Jacob Black.

The latter provided Carluke trainer Keith Dalgleish – who also hails from Hawick – with the first leg of a double.

He later saddled Picture Painter to land the 1m 6f handicap.

Glasgow handler Jim Goldie saw Theglasgowwarrior win at 11-1 in the feature handicap.

Jason Hart also rode a winner at Doncaster when Master of Irony was the 25-1 victor of the 1m 6f handicap.

St Boswells owners Paul and Clare Rooney won the opening five-furlong conditions stakes at Ascot with 10-1 chance Getchagetchagetcha. 

The Borders couple also had a winner on the all-weather at Lingfield on May 3, winning the seven-furlong handicap with Crack On Crack On.

Two days later, they added a further success when Verni clinched the beginnners’ chase at Uttoxeter on May 5.

Over the jumps, Hawick jockey Jamie Hamilton was in great form at Hexham, where he completed a double.

He won the two-and-a-half mile novice chase on Loch Linnhe and the two-mile novice hurdle race on 50-1 chance Kick On Dottie.

“It was a good start to the season,” he said.

Selkirk trainer Stuart Coltherd saddled Sharney Sike to an 11-1 win in the concluding two-and-a-half mile handicap chase.

Fife trainer Nick Alexander saddled Final Reminder to a 10-1 win at Ayr on May 7.

The gelding stayed on well under Jedburgh jockey Grant Cockburn.

Galston handler Mike Smith also had a winner at the fixture when Shankhill Castle posted a 20-1 success in the two-mile maiden hurdle race.

Northumberland trainer Pauline Robson won the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase with Martiloo, for East Lothian owners Ray and Anita Anderson Green.
