It was a successful year again this year for the Highland Horse Fun Team, from Kingussie, at Grantown Show.

But last year's winner, a young Highland pony mare, went a lot better this time by winning the show's supreme horse title for owner Ruaridh Ormiston. His Islay Luchag of Croila, a mouse dun four-year-old mare, bred by his late father Ewan Cameron Ormiston, was shown this year by Becca Cameron, of Ruthven Equestrian, Kingussie.

Her overall win might have been the icing on the cake, but she proved her credentials by also winning the trophy for the best working Highland.

Islay is out of Shelagh of Croila and by Ruaridh's stallion, Arisaig Luchag Mhor of Creag Dhubh. The same home's seven-week-old colt foal, Murdoch of Croila Croft, was also 'best foal' – he is out of Gnomag of Croila and by Arisaig Luchag Mhor.
