An across-Scotland effort by customers of a a major feed business has helped to raise £1500 for Riding for the Disabled Association Scotland.
As part of its 'Love your horse' campaign last October, all 21 Harbro Country Stores took part in the campaign, with a pledge that for every bag of feed sold during the month, the company would make a donation to RDA groups across Scotland. The customers certainly rose to the challenge, raising £1500 in total, which will now be split between the three RDA Scotland regions – West and Central, Edinburgh and Borders, and Grampian and Highlands.
Retail eirector at Harbro Country Stores, Allan Bain, said: “RDA groups have been hit hard by the effects of coronavirus and we know it is a cause close to many of our customers’ hearts.
"My sister has benefited from the work of her local RDA group for many years, so I am personally aware how vital a service it is for participants across Scotland. We are delighted now to hand over £1500, raised by our customers, to support the work of this important organisation."
For the RDA, Kate Bennet, added: “RDA Scotland is delighted to be the recipient of this donation. Our groups in Scotland will be heartened by the thoughtfulness and generosity of Harbro and all your customers.”
