MACFIN Ruby secured the supreme championship at Forfar Clydesdale Foal Show for Scott Greenhill, Leuchars Lodge, Fife.
This three-year-old Irish-bred filly by Doura High Spirit and out of Kirkhouse Amazing Grace, was senior champion at Lothian and had won the mare class at the North of Fife.
Taking the reserve supreme championship was Jim Gibb’s five-year-old gelding, Collessie Full Monty, from Clova, Mintlaw. By Collessie Stepping Stone, out of Sandhill Ellie May, it was bred by Ronnie Black, and won the gelding class at the City of Aberdeen show in August.
Champion foal was Lutterington Harry from Harry Emerson of Weardale, Co Durham, continuing it’s domination of this season’s foal shows, having lifted championships at Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, Lanark, Fife, Lothian and the Winter Fair. Harry was born in April and is out of Middlebank Carlogie Anna Maria and by Arradoul Balvenie.
Reserve foal was Eric and Miranda Johnstone’s Ord Tinkerbelle. This home-bred May-born daughter of Eskechraggan Ernest is out of Ord Envy. She stood reserve filly foal at North of Fife, Lanark and the Winter Fair, and took the filly foal championship and reserve overall foal titles at Lothian.
