MUSSELBURGH proved a happy hunting ground for Linda Perratt when the East Kilbride trainer began May with a hat-trick of wins.

Bunce initiated the £1429-1 treble to score by a nose in the five-furlong handicap, recording a second win over course and distance.

Half-an hour later, the stable completed a quickfire double when 9-1 chance Jammy Moment landed the 1m 6f handicap.

Perratt saddled her third winner after 25-1 shot Findog scored by a head in the final race of the day.

Hawick handler Alistair Whillans also celebrated success after Ralphy Boy won the seven-furlong handicap.

Alistair Whillans saddled his own Galilee Chapel to an 11-1 success in the one-mile handicap at Newcastle on April 28.

At Pontefract, on April 29, Jason Hart added a further success to his tally when the Hawick jockey rode Normandy Barriere to land the six-furlong handicap.

Hart was back in the winner's enclosure the following afternoon at Redcar when he rode Rosie Crowe to land the concluding one-mile handicap.

Irvine jockey Danny Tudhope was also successful at the meeting, riding favourire Risk N' Reward to win the six-furlong claiming stakes.

Also on April 30, Carluke trainer Keith Dalgleish and Hawick jockey Wilson Renwick teamed for a comfortable victory with Bertie Moon in the two-mile handicap hurdle race at Sedgefield.

Dalgleish posted a good win with Sound Advice in a competitive Thirsk Hunt Cup on May 2. "He didn´t truly stay 1m2f at Newbury last time," he explained.

"This drop back to a mile suited him better. He normally likes to make the running, but we couldn´t do that from the draw and they went quick.

"The draw worked out well for us, because being on the outside he had a clear run," he added.

At Hexham the same evening, Langholm handler James Ewart saddled Ueueteotl to win the opener in the hands of Fife jockey Lucy Alexander.

Kai Broon won the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase for Milnathort trainer Lucinda Russell and Hawick jockey Craig Nichol.

After riding a winner at the Lauderdale point-to-point, Tom Hamilton headed for Hexham where he partnered Cave Hunter to victory in the Heart for All England maiden hunter chase.

The winner is trained by Tom's mother, Wendy, for Moffat farmer Niel Manning.

Galston trainer Mike Smith sent 10-1 chance West Brit to head the one-mile handicap at Hamilton on May 3.

Danny Tudhope completed a double at Beverely on May 4, riding The Tempest to win the maiden fillies stakes, and following up with Rousayan in the one-mile handicap.

Jason Hart was in the winner's enclosure at Catterick the following afternoon, after riding Underwritten to a 9-1 success in the two-mile handicap.

Kelso hosted a bumper eight-race card on May 6.

The MS Borders Racing Club celebrated success in the novice handicap hurdle race when Isaacstown Lad took the spoils.

Jim Goldie saddled Turtle Watch to land the conditional jockeys handicap hurdle.

The victory provided East Lothian owners Ray and Anita Anderson Green with their 400th winner.

Victor Thompson sent Chanceofa Lifetime from his Alnwick stable to win the novice hunter chase.

Hawick jockey Craig Nichol completed a double at Carlisle on May 7.

His first win came in the opening conditional jockeys handicap hurdle race on the Keith Dalgleish-trained Tara Mac who stayed on well to take the spoils.

He was back in the winner's enclosure when Honourable Gent jumped well on his chase debut to head the novice handicap. The gelding is trained by Rose Dobbin for her parents Sarah and Duncan Davidson from Alnwick.

Ray and Anita Anderson Green saw their colours carried to victory in the bumper, after an impressive performance from the Jim Goldie-trained Boogie Life.

Octagon - bred at Hawick by the late Rhona Oliver - headed the opening two-mile hurdle race at Hexham on May 9.

Northumberland handler, Susan Corbett, completed a quickfire double at her local track - saddling Super Collider to win the conditional jockeys' handicap chase, and then Manballandall, which triumphed in the handicap hurdle race.

Cumnock-based John Hodge saw Flaming Thistle win the three-mile handicap chase in the hands of Jedburgh jockey, Grant Cockburn.

On the flat, Jason Hart scored an across-the card double, riding Ambitious Icarus to win the five-furlong sprint at Nottingham, before heading to Thirsk's evening fixture, where he partnered Craggaknock wo take the 1m 4 f handicap.

Back at Musselburgh, on May 11, Jason Hart added a further success when riding Roayh to victory in the one-mile handicap.

At the same fixture, winning hurdler Roc De Prince recorded his first Flat win when heading the two-mile amateur riders handicap for James Ewart.

Keith Dalgleish saddled Go Dan Go to victory in the seven-furlong handicap.
