SCOTTISH event riders Louisa Milne Home and Olivia Haddow flew the flag at Burghley Horse Trials.

The three-day event in Lincolnshire was designed by Mark Phillips and riders described it as a tough track.

Louisa Milne Home had two horses - King Eider and Prthill Rusty Nail, Olivia Haddow rode Cool Dancer and Emily Galbraith had Timing entered. Sadly Timing did not pass the initial trot up and was eliminated.

Then before the dressage phase Porthill Rusty Nail was found to be lame and was withdrawn.

King Eider posted a dressage mark of 53.8, while Cool Dancer recorded 55.8.

Louisa and 'Duck' as he is known were first to go across country and jumped clear, albeit with 30.4 time penalties.

Olivia and Cool Dancer also jumped clear with 24 time penatlies.

Going into the final showjumping section, both riders jumped clear over an influential track that saw none of the top 23 horses jump clear, this propelled Cool Dancer up to 25th place and King Eider to 29th place.
