KEITH Dalgleish has his Carluke stable in great form, and he added another victory to his seasonal tally when Hee Haw justified favouritism to head the six-furlong handicap at Carlisle on June 19.

The lightly-raced sprinter stormed home to take the spoils for owner Janis Macpherson.

“He is a nice young horse,” said winning jockey Paul Mulrennan. “He has been a bit unlucky but he did that well.”

Hawick jockey, Jamie Hamilton, has also been in good form and rode Miss Conway to win the opening handicap chase at Hexham on June 17.

Jedburgh jockey, Callum Bewley, also rode a winner at the meeting, when Notonebuttwo posted a 14-1 success in the two-and-a-half mile handicap chase.

On the Flat at Musselburgh’s popular Ladies Day the same afternoon, Glasgow trainer, Jim Goldie, saddled Great Fighter to win the two-mile handicap.

The seven-year-old was following up a track success last month.

“This was always the target and hopefully it’ll be onwards and upwards,” said the winning trainer.

Langholm jockey Dale Irving rode No Such Number to win the two-and-a-half mile novice handicap chase at Uttoxeter on June 15.

St Boswells owners Paul and Clare Rooney also had a winner at the meeting when Lovely Job enjoyed a comfortable success in the three-mile novice chase.

On the Flat at Nottingham, Hawick jockey, Jason Hart, rode St Dunstan to a 10-1 victory in the one mile two furlong handicap.

Jason Hart was back in the winner’s enclosure the following afternoon at York, riding Seaella to head the six-furlong selling stakes.

East Kilbride trainer Linda Perratt saddled Dutch Dream to a 28-1 win in the concluding five-furlong handicap at Hamilton on June 14.

St Boswells owners Paul and Clare Rooney celebrated their second victory in two days when Paddy’s Field won the three-mile handicap hurdle race at Southwell on June 13.

The Borders couple had enjoyed a victory on the Flat with Frederic at Pontefract the previous evening.
