Owners name:
Russell McNab
Tractor, Make-model-year:
Massey Ferguson 135 Multi-Power 1970
How long have you had the tractor?
Since 2016.
Where did you get it?
The tractor was sourced in Ireland
If restored, have you restored it yourself?
Yes
How long has it taken to restore the tractor?
In stages over the last year.
What was the biggest challenge you had with your tractor?
Rust is always a problem and this tractor was no exception. However, a good shot-blasting job followed by proper preparation and painting sorted that out.
What is unique or special about the machine?
There’s not so many 135s with Multi-Power and I fitted a good quality after-market cab which makes it quite unique.
Do you go to many shows/Rallies or on-road runs throughout the year?
Yes my own club (AVTMC) has two road runs in the year and I go to other runs as far afield as Glenluce and Bute, also rallies such as our own at Ayr. I also go to Glenluce, Kelso, Ingliston, Strathaven, and south to Newark etc.
What prizes have you won or best achievement with a tractor?
Best achievement I have ever received was for four different awards for a David Brown 880 Selectamatic Vineyard at Scone Rally in 2010.
Would you ever sell it?
NO. Too much blood sweat and tears went into it!
Dream tractor –If you could have a tractor from any era?
Massey Ferguson 35X Multi-Power. If it’s scarce you always want it!
