Owners name:
John Maltman
Tractor, make-model-year:
1964 Massey Ferguson 35X Industrial.
How long have you had the tractor?
Eight years.
Where did you get it?
Leeds. This tractor was one of four registered to Worcester Council in August, 1964, with consecutive registration numbers. This is the only one known to survive.
How long has it taken to restore the tractor?
It’s an ongoing restoration.
What was the biggest challenge you had with your tractor?
Finding the black/yellow piping seat cushion.
What is unique or special about your machine?
It is an industrial model, which is far less common than the agricultural specification.
Do you go to many shows/rallies or on-road runs throughout the year?
I prefer road runs. AVT MC twice per year, usually Moffat and Rothesay. There was a good national road run at Gretna a few years ago.
What prizes have you won or best achievement with tractor?
It took third in the best restored at Drymen and Gargunnock shows, and these are the only shows that I attend.
Would you ever sell it?
Maybe... if the price was right!
Dream tractor? If you could have a tractor from any era?
That would be a Massey Ferguson 65 Industrial.
