There's always a terrific range of artists at work on the stands of the Royal Highland Show, and this year is no different. Here is a handful of some of the this year's must visit stands.

Angela Davidson

Angela Davidson artwork never fails to impress, and this year is no different. On the walls of the stand this year is a selection of new canvasses that will catch the eye of the farming public, as always. Sky High was inspired by a visit to Orkney last year, to catch up with their Clydesdale pal portrayed in former works and reunite him with Angela and Sandy’s son, Laurie. Also on sale is ‘Good Collie’ a customer favourite featuring a collie/Beltex stand off… the Beltex is winning!

And split over four canvasses is the yet-to-be-named equestrian scene that is familiar to all lovers of horses.

Find Angela at stand 851, in the shopping arcade.

Madeleine Juniper

Madeleine Juniper's exhibition stand is no 513 on 16th Avenue of the Equestrian Village not in the clean carpeted halls of the show. She is alongside those who live and breathe their animals as she does with her painting. The discipline of capturing the true likeness and spirit of her subjects is her strength, art school trained she is also in love with the texture of paint and line and composition. The results can be breath taking. Working in oil on canvas she believes it is the best medium for expressing that velvet shine of animals and is kept busy with commissions from new and established clients from all parts of the breeding and showing world.

Jan Laird

Do you love highland cows? Then come along and visit Jan Laird Art with her exciting new range of original paintings being launched at the Royal Highland Show this year. Visit her at stand 824 in the 13th Avenue Shopping Arcade to say hello and see the new work on display.
