The Aberdeen Altens Hotel is Aberdeen’s largest hotel by number of bedrooms and occupies a prime location on the south side of the city, making it the ideal place for a wedding.

The four-star venue is also a popular one for stag and hen celebrations, not least thanks to its exciting calendar of events which range from Abba and Queen tribute nights to a murder mystery evening.

Now there is also the opportunity to enjoy another fun group activity without leaving the hotel, thanks to the opening of Aberdeen’s latest leisure attraction which is believed to be unique within the sector.

The Aberdeen Altens Hotel is home to a brand-new escape room experience in an innovative move which sees the hotel working with Escape808 to run the attraction from a specially-created base within the building.

Escape From TV offers visitors a 90-minute ultra-surreal, immersive experience where nothing is quite what it seems as visitors journey their way through multiple rooms on a fast-paced escape game adventure. The experience accommodates two to 12 visitors during a 90-minute session, with the possibility to start new games every 40 minutes to minimise waiting times. Escape From TV is billed as the perfect team building and social adventure, combining interactive challenges, clue solving and fun.

Whilst the hotel may be conveniently located on the southern edge of the city, the recent opening of the new AWPR places it just ten minutes from the airport enabling a simple and hassle-free transfer for wedding guests.

For the big day itself, based on a minimum of 50 daytime guests, winter wedding packages start from just £45 per person and include a range of features such as complimentary room hire, a three-course meal, prosecco and a disco for couples and their guests to dance the night away. The hotel’s renowned 'wedding walls' also add a creative talking point to the big day – from a flower wall or a prosecco wall to a donut wall, the possibilities are only limited by imagination!
