As Laura Paterson, marketing and communications officer at Scottish Agritourism explains, it’s a one-stop shop where you’ll find unusual and unique gifts that simply can’t be found on the high street. “There’s a really diverse range of gifts and experiences that are offered by members of Scottish Agritourism,” she explains.
“You can purchase hampers, gin, meat boxes, farm accommodation, wool and wool products, farm tours, spring lambing shed experiences – and you’re also supporting a farming business and Scotland’s rural economy.”
It couldn’t be easier to make a purchase, adds Laura. For example, lovers of charcuterie can receive Bogrow Farm Letterbox Charcuterie which contains a selection of sliced salami and air-dried ham made from free range rare breed pork and wild highland venison. It’s posted out from the farm at Tain and fits through a standard letterbox.
