Due to the continued success of The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) in Perth and Kinross they have organised a Volunteer Training Night on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Letham St Marks Church Centre, Perth from 7-9pm.
Chairperson, Emily Grant has invited all current and potential volunteers to come along to learn tips and techniques on how to teach pupils about food and farming.
Emily said: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation and we rely on them to host farm visits, help at events and deliver visit classroom talks. Being a classroom speaker can be a daunting prospect and this training night is an informal evening to let volunteers learn and try techniques and familiarise themselves with our range of resources.”
Current volunteers are encouraged to come along to share their knowledge and experience and new volunteers will be made most welcome.
Contact project co-ordinator Alix Ritchie on perthkinross@rhet.org.uk if you would like to attend or require more information.
