FREE breakfasts are being dished out across Glasgow in a bid to encourage city foodies to go organic.
The #WakeUpToOrganic event on June 12 has already signed up a bunch of local cafes, stores and delis including Locavore on Victoria Road, The Project Café on Renfrew Street, Tapa Organic Bakehouse in Dennistoun and Roots, Fruits and Flowers in the west end.
As well as serving up delicious organic mini-breakfast treats, some venues will offer a range of special activities, such as cooking demonstrations and the opportunity to meet local farmers and producers.
Organised by Organic UK, the nationwide event aims to show how easy it is to make the switch.
Organic foods are better for nature and the planet, better for animal welfare and better for helping you to understand what is in your food.
