Two new team members have been appointed at Cattle Information Service (CIS), based in Telford, Shropshire.
CIS, the UK’s main milk recording organisation, welcomes Bernadette Crayston and Mandy Jameson as area managers, both taking over counties previously covered by long serving regional manager, Sue Joyce, who retires March 2018.
Bernadette and Mandy will be liaising with farmers to help maintain the high level of service delivered to customers to assist their farm, business and herd. Other aspects of the role include HR, business development, health and safety, coordinating milk recorders and assisting in the management of milk records.
Bernadette joins CIS after 25 years farming with her husband. Together they ran a pedigree
Holstein dairy herd recording with CIS on Holstein Complete service. Bernadette will be covering Cheshire, Conwy, Clwyd, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merseyside, Powys (north), Shropshire and Wrexham.
Mandy approaches CIS from the public sector where she has been working in health and education as a finance/business manager. Mandy’s parents own a dairy farm in West Wales where they milked until their retirement in 1996. During this time Mandy supported the farm where possible, managing youngstock and helping with general farm tasks.
She is the new area manager for Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
