Prices peaked at 21,000gns and 16,000gns at Bill Nadin and Yasmin Bradbury's final Sterndale and Peak Holstein dispersal, to average in excess of £3400 for 197 lots.

The on-farm sale at Fernydale, Buxton, Derbyshire, commemorated a lifetime of breeding excellence, and was topped by the March 2016-born, Sterndale Deman Rae Ex92 SP, a fresh fourth calver by Edg Deman. She is a daughter of the Ex94-3E LP60 10* brood cow, Sterndale Snow Wyn Rae, which is a full sister to three Ex-classified cows and is a grand-daughter of the top show cow, Sterndale Goldwyn Rae Ex94-3E 20*. Willsbro Holsteins were the final bidders on this big black and white and also went to 4800gns for her Lesperron Stronger second calved daughter, Sterndale Strongman Rae VG85-2yr SP.

Sterndale Jordy Awe Jodie Red VG87-2yr, bred from 13 generations of VG or Excellent-classified cows, sold next at 16,000gns. A daughter of Cycle McGucci Jordy Red, her grand-dam is the Ex93-3E SP LP70 cow, Sterndale Colt Jodie Red that sold for the 6500gns at the Sterndale Elite sale in 2014.

Top price from the herd icon, Peak Goldwyn Rhapsody, an Ex97-6E SP LP100130 22* brood better known as The Tank and the only cow to have won the supreme championship at UK Dairy Expo three times, was 9000gns paid for the 11-month-old ET daughter, Peak Darling Rhapsody, by Walnutlawn Sidekick.
