AYRSHIRE farmers got a chance to see the majority of the Valtra tractor range at a recent open day for the brand, organised by Hamilton Brothers, of Tarbolton, at Monktonhill Farm, near Prestwick, last week.

Open days were also held for Hamilton Brothers’ Bishopton branch, and for Hamilton Ross, at Lanark, and Hamilton Reekie, in Cupar.

The full gamut of the various ranges were represented, including:

The versatile A Series range of smaller tractors range from 75-130hp which are fitted with either a 3.3 and 4.4 litre AGCO Power engine, with maintenance free SCR Technology; the N Series moves up the scale and this all-rounder has a range of 115-201 hp in the series; the T series range from 170-271hp with power from either an AGCO Power 6.6 or 7.4-litre engine, depending on the model; and the offering was topped by the impressive S series of 290-405hp fitted with an 8.4-litre engine and Valtra’s take on a CVT transmission.
