IN AN effort to tempt farmers to buy new, rather than second hand, New Holland has expanded its T7 tractor range to offer a more affordable, no-frills package.

Its three-model T7 S Essential range is viewed by it as an economic alternative to a pre-owned machine in the same power class.

The T7.165 S, T7.195 S and T7.215 S with max power outputs of 165, 190 and 210hp, respectively, are powered by FTP Industrial’s proven Tier4B-compliant six-cylinder NEF Engine, with ECOBlue HI-eSCR technology.

The T7.165 S comes with New Holland’s 18 x 6 40kph Range Command semi-powershift transmission and is seen as an ideal livestock and mixed applications machine, capable of powering high-capacity mixer wagons.

With a wheelbase of 2734mm, the T7.165 S has a high-specification Horizon cab in high or low roof versions, while the T7.195 S is on a longer wheelbase of 2884mm, and use an 18 x 6 40kph Power Command full-powershift transmission.

While the Essential range offers greater affordability, where more intensive fieldwork is required, both the Range Command transmission on the T7.165 S and the Power Command transmission on the more powerful T7.195 S and T7.215 S can be specified with creep speeds. Full IntelliSteer RTK guidance offering accuracy down to 1.5cm and a comprehensive telematics package is available on all models.

The long-wheelbase T7.195 S and T.215 S deliver rear linkage lift capacity of up to 10,463kg with optional 110mm rear lift rams, and maximum power outputs of 190hp and 210hp, respectively, ideal for heavy cultivation duties.

The Horizon cab features eight lights, with the option to upgrade to an eight or 12 LED light pack. There’s a range of seating options, plus the chance to upgrade with the proven Comfort Ride cab suspension system, or to the latest Terraglide front axle suspension.
